Jacqueline Nicole Farrow and Blake Lewis Uhler exchanged marriage vows the evening of July 18, 2009, at the First Christian Church in Crawfordsville. Officiating ministers were Darrel Roberts, Boone, N.C., and Michael Frazier, Corydon.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Zoe Farrow, Jamestown, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Farrow, Jamestown, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Roler, Kokomo. The groom is the son of Doug and Sheila Uhler, Burlington, N.C., and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Lewis, Lebanon, and Richard Uhler, Dover, and the late Phyllis Uhler.
Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Victoria Farrow, Jamestown. April Vaughn, Jamestown, a friend of the bride, was the woman of honor. Bridesmaids were Hannah Uhler, Burlington, N.C., sister of groom, and Ashley Balke, Joplin, Mo., and Rachel Hammersley, Avon, both cousins of the bride. Lindsay Emmert, Darlington, and Chelsea Freeman, Madison, Wisc., (friends of the bride) were also bridesmaids. Cousins of the bride, Lena Hammersley, Avon, and Jude Balke, Joplin, were the flower girl and ring bearer.
Brandon Piner, Rocky Mt., N.C., a friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Evan Uhler, Raleigh, N.C., the groom’s brother; Robert Farrow II, Indianapolis, the bride’s brother; and friends of the groom, Jonathan Hearing, Kyle Slagle, Chad Blanton and Josh Overman, all of North Carolina. Ushers, all cousins of the bride, were Christian and Ethan Zimmerman, Lebanon; Jackson, Lucas, and Bennett Imboden, Thorntown, and Mason and Keagan Pullen of Waldron.
Music prior to the ceremony was provided by the music group, “Tea and Symphony” of Indianapolis. Marcia Overfield, aunt of the bride, Dover, was pianist for the ceremony. Soloists were Mitchell Hammersley, Avon, and Sandra and Eric Imboden, Thorntown, aunt and uncle of the bride. A special reading, relating memories of the couple’s courtship, was read by Shannon Zimmerman, cousin of the bride. Guests were registered by Kristin Clements, Jamestown, and Michelle Norman, Lebanon. Melissa Hanson, Jamestown, was the photographer, and the bride’s cousin, Rich Overfield, Muncie, filmed video. Miss Loran Sandman, Indianapolis, was the wedding coordinator.
A dinner reception and dance was held at the Crawfordsville Masonic Temple. Andrew Vaughn was the disc jockey.
Mrs. Uhler graduated from Western Boone High School and Anderson University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Phi honor sorority. She is a fourth-grade teacher at St. Raphael School in Raleigh, N.C.
Mr. Uhler graduated from Western Alamance High School, Burlington, N.C., and Appalachia State University, Boone, N.C., where he was a member of Chi Alpha Omega fraternity. He is employed as a financial advisor with John Hancock Co.
After a wedding trip to Nassau, the couple are residing in Raleigh, N.C.
