Horlacher 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Horlacher will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Easter Sunday, March 23. There will be an open house in the community room of the Thorntown Library on March 22 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Glen married Betty Jean Smith on March 23, 1958, at Salem Methodist Church in Zionsville, with the bride’s uncle, The Rev. Charles Gibbs, officiating. Attendants were Clem Horlacher, Glen’s twin, and Lona Roberts (Yeakley).

Glen is retired from farming, but still raises Angus cattle. Betty is a retired rural mail carrier for the Thorntown Post Office.

They are the parents of Lou Ann Day and her husband, Michael, New Bern, N.C.; Dennis Horlacher, Thorntown, and Douglas and Diane Horlacher, also from Thorntown. They have four grandsons and three granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
