Funkhouser 50th
Bill and Karen (Emmons) Funkhouser, of Monon, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Ulen Country Club, Lebanon. The celebration is hosted by their children and grandchildren.
The couple was married Aug. 24, 1958, at Central Christian Church, Lebanon. She worked at the Zionsville Post office from 1967 to 1992. He worked for Zionsville Community Schools from 1959 to 1981, and the Lebanon Post Office from 1982 to 1997.
The couple have two daughters, Debbie Trennepohl (husband Dean) of Monticello and Judy Pringle (husband Terry) of Chantilly, Va.; son David Funkhouser (wife Denise) of Brownsburg); and seven grandchildren.
Lahrman 50th
Donald and Sandra (Hopper) Lahrman of Zionsville will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an open house for family and friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at the home of their daughter, Donna Collins, 358 S. County Road 1100 East, Zionsville. The party will be hosted by Collins and Ray Lahrman, the couple’s son.
The couple was married on Aug. 26, 1958, at Eagle Creek Evangelical Church, Eagletown, by the Rev. Bob Anderson. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lahrman are employed by Zionsville Community Schools. The Lahrmans have three grandchildren Cassandra, Alexandra and Caleb Collins. M
Adams 50th
Harold L. and Sandra K. (Middleton) Adams celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house given by their children. The couple was married July 12, 1958, at Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Indianapolis, the Rev. Frederick Daries officiating.
He is semi-retired from the mowing business, and she retired from the Boone County Auditor’s Office Jan. 30, 2008. They have lived in Boone County for 17 years.
The couple has four children, Mark Adams (wife Angie) of Westfield, Pamela Singleton (husband Dan) of Sheridan, Kevin Adams (wife Rada) of Westfield, and Vickie Klosky (husband Henry) of Indianapolis. They also have eight grandchildren.
Yaryan 60th
Max and Thelma (Hedges) Yaryan will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 14. The couple was married Aug. 14, 1948, at Whitestown Baptist Parsonage, the Rev. Charles E. Smith officiated.
He retired from Allison Transmission in 1983. She was a homemaker and mother. They have lived in Lebanon since 1962 and travel back and forth to Florida in the winter. They are members of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
They have three children, Linda Trent (husband Fred), Glenda Avery (husband Rick), Michael Yaryan (wife Joyce) and one deceased daughter. They also have five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
