Burris 50th

— Ralph and Marjorie (Engquist) Burris of Lebanon are observing their 50th wedding anniversary tomorrow. They will celebrate with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon. Friends and former students are invited; the couple requests no gifts, please.
They married on Nov. 30, 1957, at Christ Church Presbyterian Church in Chicago.
Mr. Burris is retired from the Dept. of the Army and the Dept. of Defense and is an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Mrs. Burris is also retired; she was a teacher at Hattie B. Stokes Elementary. They are members First Presbyterian Church; Mr. Burris is a member of the Air Force Association, the American Legion, VFW, DAV, Korean War Veterans Association; Mrs. Burris is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Tourist Club, University Women and the Boone County Retired Teachers Association.
Their children are Laurie Taylor of Indianapolis, Dennis and Jill Mort of Columbia City, Dr. Kevin and Janet Burris of Indianapolis and George and Leanne Piper of Lebanon. They also have nine grandchildren. They have lived in Lebanon 41 years.
