Ford 50th

John and Carol (Vansickle) Ford, of Thorntown, will celebrate 50 years of marriage by renewing their vows on Oct. 8, 2013, at GAP Ministry, with a reception to follow at Stookey's Restaurant. The Fords were married Oct. 8, 1963, at Thorntown Wesleyan Church. Bob Anderson officiated. The couple’s children are John Ford Jr., and Lisa (Cary) Clanton, all of Thorntown. They have six grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Mr. Ford is semi-retired as owner of Ford's Towing. Mrs. Ford retired from the Kroger Meat Department in January 2012. Mr. and Mrs. Ford are lifelong residents of Thorntown.
