After worshiping together at Lebanon First Baptist Church, Bob and Lois Jean (McRoberts) Sharpe hosted a catered dinner and party for their family to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married July 15, 1951, at Lebanon First Baptist Church, by the Rev. Wesley Smith and the Rev. Wilbur B. Sharpe, Bob’s father.
Attending the dinner were their three sons and their families, Craig Sharpe, his wife, Carol, and children, Kristen (Michael) Abbott of Carmel and Matt Sharpe of Colorado; Pastor Brent Sharpe, his wife, Janis, and children, Pastor Preston (Ashley) Sharpe, Spencer (Hayley) Sharpe of Oklahoma, and Kaitlin Sharpe of Michigan; and Alex Sharpe, his wife, Kim, and children, Nick, Kyle and Michael of Carmel. Also attending were Wanda Shirling, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shirley and Mrs. Jack “Sandi” Teems from Arizona. Mr. and Mrs Herb McRoberts and Mrs. Claribel Carson of Lebanon, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ewing of McCordsville and Mr. Monty Ewing, Race and Talon, of Fishers, also attended the celebration. Later in the afternoon, more family members and Pastor Dave and Staci Wright and Pastor Bob and Pam Davis came for a visit.
The following weekend the couple joined their sons and their families at MCL Cafeteria in Indianapolis. Also joining them were Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur B. “Bill” Sharpe Jr. and Col. Glenn and Cindy Burgess, of Virginia, Mrs. Lauren Rowan of Georgia, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hill of North Carolina, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hill of Indiana, and Mrs. Olivia Wilson of Tennessee.
Dick and Juanita (Lewis) Weber of Lebanon will celebrate 50 years of marriage at a reception hosted by their children, from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Lebanon Moose Lodge.
The Webers were married Aug. 14, 1961, at Zionsville Methodist Church. Robert Sievers officiated.
The couple’s children are Scott (Mitsue) Weber of Columbus, Tim (Rachel) Weber of Cicero, Tina Weber and DeDe (Dick) Anderson of Lebanon. They have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The Webers owned Weber’s Family Restaurant and both retired in October 2010. They also owned Weber’s Appliance Center in Zionsville for many years.
Their memberships include the Lebanon Moose Lodge and WeBo Football Athletic Boosters.
Both were raised in Boone County.
Gail and Priscilla Bolinger will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Senior Citizens Building, 707 S. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
Glenn and Diana (Garrell) Northcott of Lebanon, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Michigan.
The Northcotts were married Aug. 14, 1971, at Whitestown Methodist Church.
The couple’s children are Chris and Libby Northcott and Todd and Michelle Northcott Walton, all of Lebanon. They have five grandchildren.
Mr. Northcott works at Lebanon Manor Village and Mrs. Northcott works at Liberty Dialysis Witham.
