Steelsmith 60th

Steelsmith 60thJack and Joan (Alford) Steelsmith, of Lebanon, celebrated 60 years of marriage, when their children Tonya Thayer, Greg and Teresa Steelsmith and their families and friends hosted dinner at the Hollyhock Hill Restaurant, Indianapolis. After dinner, they returned to the home of their daughter for a reception, with a ceremony to renew their wedding vows, and skits performed by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The couple has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The Steelsmiths were married by the Rev. James Byrd on March 21, 1954, in Frankfort, at the home of the bride’s parents.

Mr. Steelsmith was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone Co. for 33 years, and Mrs. Steelsmith is a homemaker.
