Meijer’s immediate plans don’t include Boone County store

Boone County — While two of the six new “supercenters” Michigan-based retailer Meijer said Thursday it will build are planned for Indiana, neither will be built in Boone County.

The company announced on its website that it will build stores in Portage and Warsaw, as well as Detroit and Swartz Creek in Michigan, and Danville and Evergreen Park in Illinois.
