Mike Spall, left, and Jason Smith, from Vectren, work on creating a pass-through window for food service at the Lebanon Area Boys and Girls Club Friday morning during United Way's Day of Caring. Six Vectren employees volunteered Friday at the club, also reinforcing game room equipment. Also Friday, the club was working on creating a new and safer parking lot, which will feature a one-way traffic lane. There have been a lot of fender-benders in the parking lot, said Steve Carr of the club, so this would solve that problem. "We're hitting two birds with one stone today," Carr said. Workers were also installing a safer front door.
