Lebanon woman faces multiple drug charges

Lebanon —  Felony drug charges were filed against Amity L. Baldwin, 31, 800 block of South Patterson Street, on Monday after she was arrested by the Hamilton/Boone Drug Task Force.

Baldwin is charged with selling methamphetamine, a class A felony; possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony; dealing in a schedule IV controlled substance, a class B felony; and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, a class D felony. The A felony carries a sentence of 20 to 50 years and up to $10,000 in fines.

At an initial hearing Wednesday, Superior Court I Judge Matthew Kincaid named Pamela Buchanan Baldwin’s pauper attorney, and scheduled trial for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 17.

In a hand-written note to Kincaid, Baldwin asked her $50,000 cash or surety bond be reduced because she cannot afford to pay it.
