Believing for a supernatural year

Rev. Tom Wyatt
Assistant Managing Editor

— What kind of year are you contemplating? You may be planning on an average year, but God has lined up an extraordinary year for you. You may be planning on getting by, but God is planning on abundance. He’s planning on an overflow.

You may be thinking, if I can just survive. But God is saying, “It’s time to thrive.” You’ve got to get in agreement with God. God has supernatural favor in store for you. He has supernatural opportunities, supernatural healings, supernatural restoration. God wants to do unusual things in your life. You need to have expectation deep down inside you, and excitement in your spirit.

Don’t get caught up in the reports from the news, the reports from what the politicians are saying, and what’s going on in Washington. Those negative talk shows will bring you down and destroy your faith in God’s promises. Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Have faith in God. You may be sick, but God says, “You are well.” Lord I believe. You may be in debt, but God says, “You are coming out.” Lord I believe. Just have faith in God.

You may be saying, “Tom, you have the wrong message. I don’t see how I could be blessed this year.” Stop that negative talk. Get in agreement with God. Let the seed take root. Jesus was talking about these things in Mark 4:20-22, when He said, “And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and brings forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.” “And he said unto them, ‘Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?’” So Jesus calls me “good ground” if I receive God’s Word — both the written Word and the mysteries of His personal plan for my life.

And bring forth of that Word thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.

Remember the five loaves and two fish that fed the multitudes in Luke 9:12-17? Remember God multiplied the footsteps of four men to sound like a mighty army in 2 Kings7:3-7? God can make you seem bigger than you really are.  He knows how to multiply your influence, multiply your strength, multiply your talent, multiply your income.

You may not see how it could happen, but that’s okay. God has a thousand different ways to bring dreams to pass.  We think natural, but God thinks supernatural. The medical report may not look good, but understand God is not limited by the laws of medicine. His power supersedes natural laws.

You don’t have to figure all this out. All you have to do is believe.
