The community is gathering today to mourn the loss of Lebanon icon and Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame coach Jim Rosenstihl. Rosenstihl, 82, died Saturday evening. A community service will be held at 6 p.m. this evening in the Lebanon High School gymnasium, which was named in Rosenstihl’s honor. Public calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. at the gymnasium, followed by the service with military honors. Myers Mortuary is handling arrangements. Rosenstihl was a Zionsville graduate who coached at Lebanon for 24 years, beginning in 1963. He was also a teacher and driver’s education instructor in Lebanon during his coaching years, and remained a fan of the LHS Tigers even after he retired.
