Teacher of the Year

“I’m shocked and surprised,” Cavanagh said. “There are so many other people who also deserve this award.”

Leah Cavanagh, sixth-grade social studies teacher at Lebanon Middle School, was named teacher of the year at the LEF banquet.

“I’m shocked and surprised,” Cavanagh said. “There are so many other people who also deserve this award.”

Kelly Dick was selected as the best teacher at Central Elementary School, Andrea Yoder for Harney Elementary School, Donna Deel for Hattie B. Stokes Elementary School, Sarah Puckett for Perry-Worth Elementary School and Melanie Turner for Lebanon High School.

Hundreds of Lebanon Community School Corporation faculty, staff members, friends and family gathered at the Palomino Ball Room Tuesday night for the Lebanon Education Foundation Second Annual Teacher Celebration. Guests were treated to dinner, prizes and entertainment as teachers were recognized and awarded for their work.

“This is one of the highlights of the year for us,” LCSC Superintendent Bob Taylor said.
