Artifact show Saturday

The Indiana Archeology Society will hold its third annual show at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon Saturday.

The show will open at 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Millions of dollars in artifacts will be on display, with collectors and hunters on hand to describe items in their collections. Appraisals also will be done for those who bring in arrowheads or other artifacts they have found. More than 60 exhibitors have already signed up to participate.

Food will be available at the fairgrounds during the event.

At 2 p.m., a special youth award will be given in memory of Brayton Hiland, a Boone County teen who died in an accident earlier this year. Hiland collected arrowheads and was interested in archeology.

John Lewis and Brian Feltner are co-hosts for the event. For more information or arrange for a booth, contact Lewis at (765) 483-4135 or Feltner at (765) 336-4342.
