VIDEO & VOTE: Fair Factor begins

Seven contestants completed the first night of competition Friday in Fair Factor, the event where competitors will do almost anything to win $1,000 cash.

This year's competitors are the teams of Daniel Laney and Miranda Tansell, Randy and Mandy Toney, Brandy Minor and Kimberly Kernodle, Vonda Wood and Tara Harrision, Ryan Deakins and Nick Deakins, Alex DeVol and J. Wayde Knox, and Mike Dobson and Maria Badillo.

The first competition was cheerleading. Contestants had to put together their best 4-H Fair cheer using two dozen worms as pom poms.

The immunity challenge was a hoof toss where two tubs were filled with all kinds of animal parts -- stomachs, skin, snouts, fat, etc. -- and milk that had be left out in the 90 degree sun for two days. One team member had to pull out five pig's feet and toss them into the other tub held by their partner. Ryan and Nick Deakins won with a time of 15 seconds.

"Go big or go home," Nick Deakins said.

Competition begins Saturday at 6 p.m. at on Center Circle across from the Pork Producers.

Fair Factor is sponsored by The Lebanon Reporter, Zionsville Times Sentinel, RadioMom 91.1 FM, NorthPark Community Credit Union and Boone REMC.
