Chambers to be dedicated in late mayor’s memory

By Rod Rose/The Lebanon Reporter

Lebanon Lebanon’s city council chambers will be renamed in memory of the late Mayor John Lasley in ceremonies Monday.

Lasley, who had been mayor for two years, died May 3 after a lengthy illness.

An engraved plaque depicting Lasley will be placed at the council chamber entrance, on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 401 S. Meridian St., Mayor Huck Lewis said.

The council will begin a business session immediately following the dedication at 7:30 p.m.

Lewis will ask the council to approve what will “probably” be a five-year capital plan that will chart the city’s assets, resources and potential projects.

See Friday's Lebanon Reporter for the complete story.
