Wyoming drum corps takes over 4-H fairgrounds

Boone County — Nearly 200 people from around the country — and the world — have made the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds their home for the month while they rehearse for the Drum Corps International competition season.

The Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, of Casper, Wyo., has moved into the fairgrounds. There the team, made up of 150 students ages 17 to 22, rehearses almost daily. The students and the team of administrators and coaches are staying at the fairgrounds from May 21 to June 19, sleeping on air mattresses and sleeping bags that fill up the Witham Pavilion.
