Six of the seven individuals or companies on the agenda for the Lebanon Board of Zoning Appeals meeting are asking for variances from the city’s zoning regulations.
The exception is a request from Don Livengood for a conditional use ruling that would allow an “accessory apartment” at a single family home at 1507 Park Drive.
Two of the variance requests involve storage units that are in areas included in the city’s thoroughfare overlay district.
H.E. Smith is asking for a use variance to build self-storage units at 901 Indianapolis Avenue. Pratt’s Storage is asking five variances from the city’s Unified Development Ordinance for a property at 1315 Lafayette Ave.
Shaker Square LLC is asking for variances from landscaping requirements for a housing development south of CR 250 N and north of the Wal-Mart store off North Lebanon Street. The company also wants a waiver of buffering requirements.
Realty Beneficial Services Inc. LLC is asking for a 48.5-foot side setback variance for a 17-by-28-foot addition at 507 Indianapolis Ave.
Brenda Daggy is asking for several variances at 1505 S. East St. and 1509 S. East St.
The BZA meeting starts at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 in the council chambers at the Municipal Building, 401 S. Meridian St., Lebanon. The board usually meets on the first Monday of the month, but could not meet on Aug. 5 because there would have been no quorum, said Kristi Spencer, administrative assistant for the Lebanon Planning and Zoning Department.
