‘Mind shift’ will help keep Boone healthy

Boone County — Efforts to help Boone County residents become healthier are paying off.

“Your community is as cutting edge as it can be for proactive health care,” Alan McCloskey of SHIO Insurance Group said at October’s Boone County Healthy Coalition meeting.

Boone County’s status as the second-healthiest in Indiana is helping attract new businesses to the area.

A company now considering moving to Boone County places employee health above all other factors, said Brian Brackmeyer of the Boone County Economic Development Corp.
