Community Foundation adjust grant guidelines and deadlines

Some new grant changes at the Community Foundation of Boone County will hopefully help the foundation address root causes of issues and find long-term solutions, President Jen Pendleton said.

The foundation’s board of directors recently approved these new guidelines for competitive grants for not-for-profit organizations. One of the biggest changes is decreasing the number of grant cycles per year from six to two. A letter of inquiry is also now required to be submitted one month prior to the grant deadlines. Select organizations will be invited to then submit a full proposal.
