---- — Some new grant changes at the Community Foundation of Boone County will hopefully help the foundation address root causes of issues and find long-term solutions, President Jen Pendleton said.

The foundation’s board of directors recently approved these new guidelines for competitive grants for not-for-profit organizations. One of the biggest changes is decreasing the number of grant cycles per year from six to two. A letter of inquiry is also now required to be submitted one month prior to the grant deadlines. Select organizations will be invited to then submit a full proposal.
