Trial set for former LMS nurse

Former Lebanon Middle School nurse and cheerleading advisor Leah Rutan, 42, faces a 9 a.m. June 23 trial on two class D felony and two class A misdemeanor charges following her Feb. 5 arrest by the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force.

Rutan is accused of felony neglect of a dependent; felony maintaining a common nuisance; misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. She was arrested at her home in the 900 block of South Outer Drive; also arrested were her son, Austin Rutan, 19, and Aaron D. Cline, 19, 800 block of S CR 650 E, Whitestown.
