Kirklin man killed in head-on collision

A 19-year-old Kirklin man was killed Thursday morning when his pickup truck was hit head-on by a semi on Indiana 47, approximately a half mile east of Indiana 39.

Anthony N. Morrow, 48, of Rochester, was driving a Kenworth semi tractor-trailer, which was not loaded with any product, westbound on Ind. 47 at 6:48 a.m. Thursday, when the trailer wheels dropped off the north side of the roadway for an unknown reason, Boone County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Mike Nielsen reported. That caused the semi to lose control, and it crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on.
