Habitat, city may work to rebuild tornado-damaged neighborhood

A neighborhood along South East and South Meridian streets where 12 homes were destroyed or damaged by a Nov. 17 tornado, could be rebuilt through a partnership between the city of Lebanon and Habitat for Humanity of Boone County.

“In three to four years, we could change the neighborhood, and who knows where it goes from there,” Steve Furste, executive director of HHBC, said.
