A Lebanon home was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning.
The occupants of the two-story older home at 304 W. Dicks Street, on Lebanon’s near south side, were able to escape without injury; a man and woman were taken to Witham Memorial Hospital for observation.
It was too early to determine a cause, Lebanon Fire Chief Jason Lee said.
All three LFD stations responded, as well as Center Township Fire and an engine from Whitestown Fire. Perry Township Fire Department was on standby to cover Lebanon in case of another fire.
One of the home’s occupants was said to be using oxygen; firefighters were concerned about the possibility of explosions from oxygen tanks. There were also reportedly firearm loading supplies, including an unknown amount of gunpowder, in the home’s attic.
