---- — A Speedway convenience store at 1335 S. Lebanon St. was one of 109 Speedway stores cited by the Indiana State Excise Police for violating a law banning the sale of alcohol on Christmas Day. Indiana law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages from 7 a.m. on Dec. 25 until 3 a.m. on Dec. 26.
“Speedway’s corporate office in Enon, Ohio, has cooperated throughout this investigation,” the excise police said in a media release. Speedway is a subsidiary of Marathon Petroleum Corp.
“We have not received the actual citation yet,” Angelia Graves, a spokeswoman for Marathon Petroleum, said Thursday. “We have been working with the excise police just to provide them with some information.”
