City looks at ways to accommodate more active lifestyles

Health by Design and the Indiana State Department of Health will present a workshop and public meeting this Tuesday, designed to help Lebanon increase outdoor health and fitness options for city residents.

Healthy by Design is a coalition that works to create environments that foster healthy living. Earlier this month, Lebanon Planning Director Charlie Campbell announced the city had applied for and received a workshop grant valued at $6,500 from the ISDH for this workshop. Its purpose is to educate and motivate community leaders and residents by stimulating discussion and opening to the door to improving local livability, "walkability," and active transportation opportunities, he said.
