Preteen Almost Anything Goes

Boone County — Preteen competitors chew through plates of whipped cream in search of hidden food (at left) and run a jump rope/dizzy bat relay (below) at Thursday’s Preteen Almost Anything Goes contest at Lebanon’s Memorial Park Thursday evening. The event is one of many scheduled in conjunction with the Boone County Fourth of July Celebration. Weekend events include a concert by Catalyst Gypsee from 7 to 10 p.m. tonight  at the park, the Firecracker Basketball Tournament Saturday, and a community church service at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Park followed by Symphony at Sunset at Abner Langley Park beginning at 5 p.m. Teen and Adult Almost Anything Goes contests are set for next week.
