---- — County officials are insisting that an excavation company stop hauling dirt to a field in southern Boone County until the property’s owner receives the proper permits.

Henry Miller, of Phoenix Excavating, the company hauling dirt to the Robert Blackford property on CR 750 S just west of Indiana 267, appeared at Monday’s Boone County Commissioners meeting, offering explanations about the project. He has been hired by Blackford to truck in dirt for a berm that will enclose the east and north sides of the property.
