---- — A successor is being sought for Boone County Veterans Affairs Officer Donnie Campbell, who Monday announced he will retire at the end of the year. Campbell, a former Lebanon Fire Department firefighter, has been the VA officer for 14 years. He is now 73, he said. The Veterans Administration is requiring more training — including a 32-hour school, as well as a written test — for affairs officers. “Besides that, I want to go to Florida,” Campbell said.
