Lebanon man to compete in national pool championship

Lebanon resident Chuck Thurnall has been playing pool for 23 years — most of his life. From student to player to now coach, Thurnall has dedicated much time to his favorite sport, which will take him to the American Pool Association’s national championship in Las Vegas this month.

Thurnall began playing pool in high school at Danville. A couple of guys took the time to teach him, he said, and he realized he was actually pretty good. He began to join leagues a few years later, and became the captain of his eight-person team in Lebanon five years ago.
