City, county to cooperate to solving Prairie Creek problems

---- — Ways to speed storm water through Prairie Creek in Lebanon are being explored by city and county officials after intense rains swamped Lebanon’s wastewater treatment plant, put roads under water, and sent streams to the edge of or out of their banks.

Mayor Huck Lewis said Friday that he, Bob Waples, water and wastewater operations manager for Lebanon Utilities, and others will meet with County Surveyor Ken Hedge to explore options to more rapidly move water downstream.
