Boone 911 calls impacted by mystery outage

Boone and several other central Indiana counties lost 911 call service for between 90 minutes and an hour and three-quarters Wednesday, in an issue that apparently originated with AT&T’s Indianapolis center.

“All of our trunk lines went down this morning,” said Tom Garoffolo, Boone County Dispatch Center director. “We still don’t know, really, why.”
