Breastfeeding awareness walk today

Lebanon — Boone County Women, Infants and Children is hosting the annual breastfeeding awareness walk from 9 to 11 a.m. today. The walk will begin at the Arc of Greater Boone County, the walk’s sponsor, and the group will probably walk to the Courthouse and back, depending on the weather and how many nine-month-pregnant women are in attendance, said Elizabeth Crouch of WIC. There will be refreshments, and they may even play Breastfeeding Bingo. The goal of the walk is to increase breastfeeding awareness and promote the benefits of it, Crouch said.
