---- — Witham Health Services has pulled its plan to build in Zionsville. Zionsville Plan Commission President Allan Rachles told his fellow commissioners Monday night, Witham requested their petition be dismissed. The commission voted unanimously, 4 to 0, to approve the dismissal. Commissioners Jay Parks, David Franz and Kevin Schiferl were not at the meeting. “With this, they are unable to refile for another year,” Rachles said. “They can request a waiver to come back to us before that time. We do not know their intentions for why they wanted to dismiss their petition.” Attorney Kent Frandsen, with Parr Richey Obremsky Frandsen & Patterson in Lebanon, represents Witham but was not at the meeting. Witham President and CEO Ray Ingham said Tuesday that the project required a lot of costly preparation the hospital wasn’t prepared for right now. “The circumstances were not quite right,” Ingham said. The hospital already has a plateful of new projects, including an expansion and MRI upgrade at its main campus in Lebanon. See Wednesday's Lebanon Reporter for more on this story.
