County makes jobs full-time ahead of ACA requirement

Boone County — Two county employees were approved to take on full-time status by the Boone County Council Tuesday in preparation for new provisions under the Affordable Care Act.

The portion of the ACA that will take effect Jan. 1 requires employees working full-time hours to be considered full-time employees, requiring health insurance to be offered. And two county employees have been working full-time hours in part-time positions.
