Lebanon — Lebanon’s city pool opened Wednesday, nearly four weeks later than normal because the city had to deal with problem after problem in the aging pool.
Parks Director John Messenger said they started out with transformer and other electrical issues. Lebanon Utilities had to replace a couple of transformers, which put them behind three weeks.
They then ran into several problems involving the pumps and motors, which they rebuilt in-house. Then a professional came out and discovered broken water lines and leaks, and they had to saw into the decking to repair those issues. They had to send a water sample to the Environmental Protection Agency to be tested and approved, and the health department had to do an inspection.
