Whitestown approves 2014 budget, begins dis-annexation

The Whitestown Town Council approved its 2014 budget during its Tuesday night, Oct. 8, meeting. Despite large increases in some funds, residents may see their tax rates decrease. "We project the tax rate for 2014 to decline somewhat compared to 2013," Town Manager Dax Norton said. "However, there are unknown variables to the tax rate that the town needs to be able to determine the tax rate." See Wednesday's Times Sentinel for the full story.
