Jacki Spall, 17, of Jamestown, will graduate from Western Boone Jr.-Sr. High School in 2014. Her parents are Brenda and Mike Spall, She is a member of Jackson Future Farmers, and is sponsored by Jackson Club Township. Special 4-H activities and awards include Junior Sheep Association, Premiere Exhibitor 2012 Indiana State Fair; Family/Consumer Sciences/Agricultural Award for the 2012 shooting sports project; grand champion 4 Class Rabbit; multiple champions in the shooting sports project, multiple champions in the sheep project; fourth overall supreme ewe for the 2012 sheep project; champion sheep fitter for two years at Boone County; Advance Sheep Fitting Champion at the Indiana State Fair, and Champion Showman for the last three years at the Indiana State Fair. Outside of 4-H she is a member of the National Honor Society, National Arts Honor Society, New Brunswick Church of Christ youth group member, Junior Cheviot Sheep Society, best mental attitude award for varsity swimming, motivational speaker for varsity swimming at Western Boone, academic excellence award, Student of the Month at Western Boone, and AMP Mentor at Western Boone. She is employed at Dover Angels Daycare. She enjoys drawing and arts, 4-H, volunteering for the National Honor Society and showing sheep through circuit shows.
Lindsey Williams, 18, of Lebanon, will graduate from Lebanon High School in 2014. She is the daughter of Shirley Williams and Jeremy Ferguson. Her sponsoring organization is Psi Iota Xi. A member of the Center Township Trailblazers, her 4-H projects include swine and cats, nine years; cattle, seven years; horse and pony, junior leaders and scrapbook, four years; misc. crafts, three years; and latch hook, two years. Her other 4-H activities and awards include club president (2013), 4-H Council youth representative (2011-present), 4-H club vice president (2012), reserve grand champion steer (2012), Supreme Champion Showman overall (2012), swine master showmanship winner (2012), swine advanced showman winner (2012), reserve champion beef showman (2012), grand champion beef cattle display board (2012), reserve grand champion swine display board (2012), beef cattle project award (2012), swine project award (2011), overall swine herdsman award (2012), swine reserve champion senior showman (2011), beef reserve champion showman (2011), champion intermediate swine showman (2010), reserve champion beef showman (2010), champion intermediate beef showman (2009), champion beef beginner showman (2006), champion swine beginner showman (2006), and multiple champion and reserve champion awards throughout the years. Activities and honors outside of 4-H include Lebanon High School chapter FFA president (2013), District IV FFA sentinel (2013), Cupcake Club president (2013), Best Buddies (2011-present), FFA Hoosier Degree (2013), Most Outstanding Sophomore FFA member (2012), District IV vice president (2012), LHS Chapter FFA reporter (2012), FFA Chapter Degree (2012), LHS Chapter FFA sophomore representative (2011), Green Hand Degree (2010), Discovery Animal Science Demonstration winner (2010), Discovery Animal Science Demonstration 4th place at state (2010), and Most Outstanding Female FFA member (2010). Her employment has included baby-sitting. Hobbies and interests are showing pigs and cattle, showing in showmanship, working with the 4-H animals, helping younger members, FFA, and hanging out with friends and family. “I am very interested in animal feed nutrition.”
