Staff report
For The Lebanon Reporter

Boone County — Zionsville resident Clayton Kelly was one block and 25 minutes ahead of unthinkable terror Monday at the Boston Marathon that was marred by two explosions near the end of the race.

The explosions killed at least two people and injured dozens more. The Eagle Tribune (North Andover, Mass., a sister CNHI newspaper), reported that the explosions were just before the photo bridge near the finish line and Lenox Hotel and were apparently outside of a building. A suspicious fire at the JFK Library also was reported.

Kelly was one of six runners in the Boston Marathon registered as Boone County residents.
