The Lebanon City Council voted Monday to establish an economic revitalization area on a 67-acre parcel of land that will soon be the site of a speculative warehouse building.
GDI Construction and Northpoint Development plan to construct a 741,000-square-foot building in the Lebanon Business Park, on the south side of Ind. 32 directly across the street from Arby’s and KFC, in hopes to attract a future tenant. Joe LePage of the Boone County Economic Development Corp. presented the project to the council in May, adding that the developers plan to seek a tax abatement. In order to be granted a tax abatement, the project must be in an economic revitalization area.
