Western Boone plans $4.68 million in capital spending

Over the next three years the Western Boone County Community Schools board plans to spend $717,500 on building and construction improvements at its junior-senior high school and two elementary schools. About $490,000 of the improvements will be at the high school.

Plans for the improvements were outlined for the school board at its June meeting, on Monday. The discussion was the first in a series of presentations about the district’s budget.

Between 2015 and 2017, the school board intends to invest $4.648 million on professional services, equipment installation, replacement and maintenance, emergency allocations, technology expenses and utility services at the three schools.
