Central principal, six others retire

Seven retiring staff members representing 192 years of service to the Lebanon Community School Corp. were honored at Tuesday’s school board meeting. Those retiring are Marilyn Davis, a guidance department secretary at Lebanon High School; Becky Davis, a third-grade teacher at Harney Elementary School; Cynthia Duncan, a special needs teacher at Hattie B. Stokes Elementary School; Melissa Engel, a health teacher at Lebanon Middle School; Susan Scher, a fourth-grade teacher at Stokes; Rita Shirley, a first-grade teacher at Stokes; and Marie Henderson, Central Elementary School principal.
