---- — Funds not to exceed $110,000 were approved by the Lebanon City Council Monday for new Lebanon Fire Department command vehicles. LFD Chief Chuck Batts said the department has had “chronic issues” with the vehicles for deputy chiefs Mike Baird and Robert Wirey. Their current vehicles are model years 2001 and 2004 and both have around 120,000 miles. “They’ve just become money pits,” Batts said. “There are transmission issues, wiring issues, leaking, almost an issue weekly.” See Friday's Lebanon Reporter for more on this story.
