New business bringing jobs to Lebanon

Lebanon — A new business in Lebanon plans to hire more than 40 new employees in five years at an average salary of $70,000.

TABS Technologies, an engine design and test facility, has moved into the old 84 Lumber building off South Indiana 39 at 437 West County Road 150 South. The company was started in 2001, but until now it had been operating out of owner Steve O’Hara’s Zionsville home and a rental facility in Whitestown.

Managing Director Mylon Stockton said the decision to move to Lebanon was twofold. First, the facility the company wanted was here. And second, the Boone County Economic Development Corporation gave the company a grant to help with the renovations.
