City moves forward on new pool

Boone County — The design phase of the new Lebanon Memorial Park pool is now under way, pushed forward by schedule requirements.

Lebanon Mayor Huck Lewis said Monday the council needed to approve the start of the design phase in order to start construction in August and hopefully have the new pool open the next summer.

“If we move forward, it means we’re looking into designing a new pool and not fixing the old,” said Council President Jeremy Lamar. The council then unanimously approved the design phase.
