Whitestown plans to award plant bids in June

Whitestown expects to award contracts by June 25 for a new, $21 million wastewater treatment plant it will build on a 21-acre site in southern Perry Township, near the intersection of CR 750 S and CR 450 W. Treated water from the plant will be discharged into White Lick Creek.

A loan from the Indiana State Revolving Fund program will pay for the project; construction costs represent about $19 million of the overall expense. The project includes removal of the town’s old treatment plant and new or upgraded lift stations at five locations.
