Lebanon tennisThe Lebanon tennis team won their third-straight match of the season Tuesday night, topping Frankfort 5-0.

The win improved Lebanon to 5-4 on the season and 3-1 in the Sagamore Conference.“(We) seem to be in a better rhythm of play this week and working hard to stay on top of their games,” Lebanon head coach Lisa Erwin said in an email. At No. 1 singles, Sarah Curts topped Hannah Culvers 6-0, 6-2, at No. 2 singles Megan Stuteville defeated Maddy Corrie 6-1, 6-1, and at No. 3 singles Kaitlin Wirey defeated Taylor Dillingham 6-1, 6-1.

Lebanon swept the two doubles points, with a 6-3, 6-1 win by Shelby and Taylor Dejka at No. 1 doubles over Esmeralda Hernandez and Britni Silva.

At No. 2 doubles, Caroline Potter and Staci Cline defeated Alexis Bullock and Morgan Young 6-2, 6-0.

The Lebanon JV team won 9-0. Molly Myers, Abby Abbott, Kelsie Culley, Katie Hart and Abby Princell won singles matches. The doubles teams of Sabrina Lasley and Hannah Stefanik, Emily Fleck and Josie Wooldridge, Abby Rardin and Mackenzie Guyman, and Megan Lucas and Marie Dickison all won.

The Tigers next challenge will be Saturday and the Lebanon Invitational. The other teams attending are Mississinewa, Rossville, and Westfield. Lebanon will take on Rossville in the first round, with Mississinewa playing Westfield. The winners of the first round will play the second round and the team that loose the first round will play. The match starts at 9:00 a.m.

Western Boone tennisThe Western Boone tennis team lost to Crawfordsville 5-0.

At No. 1 singles, Hannah Chalmers topped Holly Osburn 6-0, 6-2, at No. 2 singles Mia Katzenberger topped Alissa Jahn 6-0, 6-0 and at No. 3 singles Destynee Nelson topped Meg Kinslow 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play, the team of Kassidy Bonebrake and Lizzy Katzenberger topped Kaitlin Miller and Morgan Ragsdale 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Reilly Dunham and Emma Heinhold topped Teddi Keith and Amy Reader 6-0, 6-1.

Western Boone baseballThe Western Boone baseball team fell to Tri-West 6-2 on Tuesday.
