The Stars took a 1-0 lead in the first when Nathanial Bye hit a solo homer with two outs.

The Bruins scored a run in the third to tie the game and three in the fourth to take the lead.

The Stars scored in the fifth on an RBI-ground out by Cameron Cline, but got no closer.TJ Wilson and Tyler Hale also had hits in the loss.

Bye took the loss with 5 2/3 innings pitched. He gave up five hits and struck out seven.

Western Boone golfThe Western Boone boys golf team traveled to Brownsburg Saturday to participate in their Invitational at West Chase Golf Course. The Stars shot a 375 and finished sixth out of 15 teams on a weekend when several teams were missing players due to SAT testing and Prom nights. Logan Marsh had a solid day, leading the Stars with an 86 and finishing tied for 11th place on a very windy day in tough conditions. Nik Wilson shot a 90, Caleb Mills had a 98, Jared Michalke 101 and Drew Demaree shot a 110.LMS golfThe Lebanon Middle School golf team has stayed busy.

On Saturday, the Tigers placed seventh in the tough Zionsville Invitational. Lucas Beck with led the Tigers with a 78, finishing 3rd. John Parks had a 103, Camren Toole had a 111 and Jaland Bowman had a 123. On Monday, the Tigers defeated Zionsville West 187–200. Beck tied the school record with a 1-under par 34. Shawn Ramirez shot a career-low 48, John Lasley had a 50 and Parks had a 51.

Tuesday, the Tigers defeated Western Boone 173-202. Beck was the medalist with a 35. Parks had a 40, Toole had a 45 and Lasley and Ramirez had 53s.

Jacob Meyer led Western Boone with a 42. Dalton Davis had a 50, Aaron Dickerson had a 54 and Cooper Ball had a 56.

Western Boone Jr. High tennisThe Western Boone Jr. High girls topped Southmont 4-1 in tennis. Winners for the night were: Maggie Klingensmith, Katie Collins, Krisha Griffith, Cassidy Stewart, Grace Kumler, Rylee Ramsey, Merrill Gourley, Shelby Dorwart, Molly Kinsey, Becky Collins, Lexie Dunigan and Micara Hawkins.LMS tennisThe Lebanon Middle School tennis team topped Tuttle 4-1 on Monday.

At No. 1 singles Kate Stanley lost 8-7. At No. 2 singles Lizzie Hart won 8-3 and at No. 3 singles Natalee Benavides won 8-5.

At No. 1 doubles Kara Godby and Madison Wirey won 8-1 and at No. 2 doubles Olivia Guest and Abigail Engels Won 8-7.
