Board reviews East Street parking issues

Lebanon Street Superintendent Larry Lee and Lebanon Police Chief Sam Myers are looking into the parking situation on East Street after a member of the public addressed the Lebanon Board of Works Monday.

Michael Boutwell, who lives on East Street between Noble and Thompson streets, spoke to the board at Monday's meeting about the parking hazards in the area. Parking is allowed on the east side of the street, but Boutwell said people have driveways and should be parking there instead. Children run out in between the parked cars, he said. Boutwell has seen several near-accidents.
